An unforgettable road day before Lahore even begins. Depart Islamabad at dawn and stop at Rohtas Fort — one of the greatest Mughal military fortifications in South Asia, built by Sher Shah Suri. Lunch in Jhelum, then on to Khewra Salt Mines: the world's second-largest salt mine, its luminous pink tunnels lit by salt-crystal lamps. Arrive Lahore for dinner at Spice Bazaar before checking into the hotel.
