Lahore travelers depart at midnight, reaching Islamabad by ~5 AM. Depart Islamabad at 06:00 am. Drive north on the Swat Motorway, then through Dir and into Chitral via the Lowari Tunnel. Arrive Ayun Fort by early afternoon. Take a short walk through Ayun village to stretch your legs and meet locals before settling in for the sunset on Tirich Mir.
