Two days in Galiyat built around the Mushkpuri Top trek — one of the most rewarding hikes in the Islamabad hills. Day 1 is all about altitude: trek Mushkpuri Track to the summit at 2,870m, lunch at Dunga Galli, and settle in for a bonfire evening in Nathiagali. Day 2 takes the hidden Pipeline Track and visits a British-era mountain tunnel before the drive home.

Lahore travelers depart at midnight, reaching Islamabad by ~5 AM. An early-morning departure from Islamabad, climbing the Murree–Galiyat road into the pine belt. The Mushkpuri Track begins at the forest edge — a steady 3-hour ascent through silver fir and oak forest to the summit at 2,870m, where the views extend across the Galiyat ridgeline and, on clear days, to the white mass of Nanga Parbat in the north. Lunch at Dunga Galli below the summit, then check in to the hotel in Nathiagali for a sunset bonfire and dinner at Alpine.

After breakfast at the hotel, set out on the lesser-known Pipeline Track — a forest trail that winds through dense pine along a colonial-era water pipeline. The highlight is a British-era mountain tunnel carved straight through the ridge, cool and dark even in summer. Lunch at the Expressway viewpoint restaurant below the Galiyat hills, then the drive back to Islamabad in the afternoon.
