A very early departure from Islamabad (or midnight from Lahore) takes you north through Swat Motorway and into Dir district. Arrive at Kumrat by mid-afternoon, check in to your resort, and take a stroll into the ancient deodar forest to shake off the drive. Watch the sunset over the valley before a warm dinner.
