Burawai is the last settled stop on the Kaghan road before Lulusar Lake and Babusar Top, sitting at 3,200 metres where the valley opens into wide alpine meadows. There are only a handful of guesthouses and PTDC-style huts here, which is precisely the attraction — for anyone trekking to Dudipatsar Lake or crossing to Chilas via Babusar, Burawai is the quietest base you can stage from. Nights are cold even in July, and the road is closed under snow from November through late May.
