Shogran is quite ideal for summer and winter weekend trips, at an altitude of 2400m, it offers a wide view of Kaghan valley. A jeep must be taken from Kiwai, which is a famous stopover cornered in a c-shaped turn 24kms ahead of Balakot. All range of hotel accommodations are available in Shogran, with quite a few operational in winters due to heavy snowfall. A two hour jeep ride from Shogran gets you to Siri Paye Meadows, which is also a base camp to climb Makra Peak 3885m.
It offers an hindered view to semi-glaciated peak of Musa Ka Musala.
