
Gateway to Kalash
At an altitude of 1390m, Ayun is the gateway to all Kalasha valleys. With a clear back drop of dome shaped Tirich Mir 7708m, bending in a c-shaped turn along the Kunar River, valleys gets fairly wide here with a perfect view of green fields gradually piling up on its western sides. Summers here can be slightly hot, but lush green gardens and Orchards of Ayun Fort Residence are a perfect retreat in heart of nature.
