Passu is the small, wind-blown village at the foot of the Passu Cathedral spires — the jagged 6,000 m rock towers that form the KKH's most iconic skyline. From Passu you can walk to Borith Lake, cross the Hussaini suspension bridge over the Hunza River, and access both the Passu and Batura glaciers on foot. The village is Wakhi-speaking, quiet enough to feel remote, and yet directly on the KKH — Passu has become the accepted overnight stop for KKH travellers between Karimabad and Sost.
