Amidst thousand of boulders
Karphoghoro is a campsite right across the granite tower of Sosbun Brak emerging right above the smooth ice of Biafo Glacier. Its the last campsite on Biafo glacier before Snow Lake, perched amidst millions of stones and boulders. Its about 4-5 hours hike from Marphoghoro right at the tip of curve of Snow Lake. After Karphorghoro one can camp amidst the bowl of snow lake at 4700m which is trek of about 3-4 hours on hidden iced crevasses. Roping is a must for this part of trek and gaiters along with waterproof shoes is also essential.
