Borith Lake is a small brackish lake perched on a plateau between Passu and Hussaini, ringed by the Passu and Ghulkin glaciers. In spring and autumn it becomes a stopover for migratory ducks and waders travelling between Central Asia and the plains of Pakistan. The 45-minute walk from Borith down to the Passu Glacier snout is one of the most rewarding short glacier hikes in Upper Hunza, and there is a comfortable inn on the lake for overnight stays.
