Shigar Fort

Palace on the Rock

Built in 17th century in Tibetan and Balti architecture this fort was ruled by Raja of Shigar. A three story structure built on a rock by Shigar Stream; symbolises the ancient history of region. Shigar Fort also known as Fong Khar used to be a home of Shigar Rulers, now has been converted into a Heritage Hotel by Serena and now one can experience the Royal Heritage by spending few nights here.
