Corridor to Wakhan
Yasin has served as a gateway between Central Asia and Kashmir for centuries via the famous Wakhan corridor. Until 20th century, It was an important kingdom controlling shores and easiest route between Oxus and the Indus valleys. Apart from its raw natural beauty valley is fertile and is home to many ethnicities. Earliest signs of human settlements go back to Ancient Age and Yasin Fort preserves the detailed history in a sequence. Yasin is also a base station for trekking to Karombar Lake via Darkut Pass. Darkut is the last village of valley from where one can hire porters for trekking.
